Wolves play a strong role in Norse Mythology:
Fenrir [pronounced FIN-reer] is a monstrous wolf in Norse Mythology. You can read more about Fenrir's mythology here.
Geri and Freki

Sköll and Hati
Sköll and Hat are wargs, where Sköll chases 2 horses that drag chariots which contain the sun. Hati is said to chase Máni, the moon. During Ragnorak, Sköll and Hati succeed. You can read more about the pair here.
